Congratulations! You’ve made it this far…

We thought we would let you know a bit about us and our food blog!

So, about us. We’re a couple of Brits currently living in Yorkshire. We’ve just got married and are currently touring the States as part of our Honeymoon Dream. So this is my wife, Ali. Stunner isn’t she?!!

And this is me (the one on the left before you say anything!)

So we love America, and what’s more we love the food that’s in it. In terms of this being a ‘foodie’ blog, we’re not foodies as you may think of in the traditional sense. Just to give you some idea of our repertoire…

 

 

As you may have guessed, we’re not really the ‘fancy schnmancy’ kinda diners, i.e. if something comes with a ‘drizzle’ and comes in a tiny portion, I will probably be asking when the rest is coming. Hence why we love America! Huge portion sizes, deep fried goodness, cake for breakfast! CAKE for breakfast! I mean, what’s not to love?!! And we’re huge fans of Steak. Our cousins across the pond certainly know how to do them well! Add to that the words; ‘smothered in cheese’. Since when did anything bad ever come from the words ‘smothered with cheese’?!! So yes, I’m guessing you’re probably getting the gist of what this blog may be about. Think Man vs Food but without the entourage. A la Carte? Probably not. Awesome? Most definitely. Civilised? We’ll let you decide on that one…

AND, we even have Royal Approval. Well, not quite ‘Royal Approval’. But, a picture of Prince Charles waving at me on one of his royal visits (no-joke). So there. Bet you’re glad you read on now aren’t you?! I hope you enjoy the blog just as much as we shall enjoy making it! One. Plate. At. A. Time.
